Corporations are raking in record profits while everyday Canadians pay the price.
Enough is enough. We’re organizing to tax their billions and fund a better future for all of us.
We all deserve a fighting chance at a decent life. It shouldn’t feel impossible to put a roof over your head and food on the table. But every day, the hope of a decent life feels further and further out of reach for far too many of us.
The biggest companies in the world are making record profits while we pay the price. From our sky-rocketing grocery bills to our smoke-filled summers, we’re the ones stuck bearing the costs of an economy rigged to benefit an elite few. And while our politicians talk a big game, many of them want to give corporations more power— not less.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. History shows us that when working people come together, we can tip the scales back in our favour.
By raising taxes on Big Oil and Canada’s wealthiest corporations, we can recoup billions of dollars to transform our energy system, create good unionized jobs for workers, build free public transit, construct energy-efficient social housing, honour Indigenous land rights, and invest in the robust public services our communities depend on.
Canada’s political parties are gearing up for the next election—let’s demand bold action for a fairer future.
While billionaires and Big Oil rake in record profits, everyday people are are left behind.
By taxing billionaires, Big Oil, and Canada’s richest corporations, we can generate billions for our families and communities.
It’s time to prioritize people over profits.
Secure housing is a right, not a luxury to be enjoyed by the ultra-rich elites. We demand an expansion of green public housing nationwide, and updates to existing homes to increase energy efficiency and cut household costs.
Big Oil has spent years destroying our planet for their profit while lying to the public. Enough. It’s time for a fossil fuel phase-out and massive investments in publicly-owned and community-led renewable energy projects to deliver cheap and reliable electricity.
After decades of public funding cuts, our classrooms are overcrowded and our healthcare systems are collapsing. We demand federal investments in healthcare, education, childcare, social services, and a resourced national public transit plan to build strong and thriving communities.
Shifting to a green economy would create millions of dignified, unionized jobs. Green Jobs programs, training opportunities, and permanent resident status for all would ensure that everyone can play a role in building a better, more resilient future.
Colonial exploitation lies at the root of the status quo system that prioritizes corporate profit over human life. We must center Indigenous peoples’ knowledge and leadership, ensure free, prior, and informed consent, and restore land to Indigenous stewardship.
We are looking for people and groups across the country who want to take concrete, impactful action with us.
